Shrine play heavy and intense metal with hardcore
overtones.
Merciful Fate and God Forbid come to mind when
listening to these 3 tracks but I get the feeling that they
will be able to throw off these comparisons and find
their own take on this genre.
The 1st track, which is over 6 minutes long shows the most
promise - lots of crunchy, distorted guitars that evolve halfway
through into a heavy stoner psych riff that stomps away while
the rest of the band provide suitably powerful backing.
The production is great, giving the tracks a real depth that made
me wish for a full albums worth.
